Serving Christ in our Neighbours
The reverend AARON PARSALL-MYLER

Blessings to you and your families. It wonderful to be able to celebrate and worship with you at St Georges as your new Rector. Thank you for the warm welcomes for me and Erika.
I am originally from Croydon, 30 minutes from the centre of London. I moved to Canada in 2007, and studied at Cape Breton University and lived in Baddeck until I finally moved to Edmonton in 2011. My original goal was to become a teacher, but I had felt a calling to the priesthood. This calling became more evident in my discussions with Bishop Jane. On March 25, 2015 I was ordained to the Diaconate and on January 25,2018 I was ordained to the Priesthood. In addition to my ordination, in March 2015 I officially became a Canadian Citizen solidifying Canada as my new home. After being a youth minister and deacon at St Matthias Anglican church for three years, I became the chaplain for the Salvation Army residential and treatment centre downtown Edmonton. My focus in the latter ministry was on mental health and addiction along with helping those in need. But in 2018 I transitioned into parish life. Firstly, I was curate at St Matthews, St Albert and then at Mission of St. Saviour, Wabamun and St. Augustine-Parkland. All of this has led me here to St. Georges.

Since coming to St Georges in February 2020, i have been able to see soem of Fort Saskatchewan and i look forward to continue to see the beauty of this city and look to being part of this wonderful community.

John 13: 34 Jesus said: “ A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this will all know that you are my disciples, if you have love one for another.”
