OUTREACH
MEALS ON WHEELS

Every April, St. George's takes on the responsibility of delivering Meals on Wheels to individuals in the community who can't prepare meals for themselves. This is a great way to meet people in the community who you may not see regularly due to being house bound. And for many of the Meals on Wheels clients this is one of their only visits of the day.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

Every October and November our congregation takes part in Operation Christmas Child. Boxes are available October and due back the middle of November so they can be delivered on time. Information about boxes will be made available on our website and facebook page.
TOILETRIES FOR A SAFE HOUSE

Ever stayed at a hotel? Do you typically grab all of the unused travel toiletries they leave for you? If so, you can help us in this outreach ministry. Throughout the year, we collect donations of travel sized toiletries to donate to Safe House a women's shelter in Strathcona County. Simply bring your donations with you to church and pop them in the basket located as you enter our worship space. Donations are delivered before Christmas.​
CLOTHESLINE OF WARMTH

​Throughout the winter months our parish collects new and gentle used winter items, such as toques, mittens and scarves to be donated to local charities.
If you are interested in donating winter items please stop by the parish and add them to our clothesline in the foyer, or contact the office for more info.
ST. GEORGE'S
HOT CHOCOLATE AND LEMONADE STAND​

St. George's is blessed to be located in the heart of Fort Saskatchewan near the Farmer's Market, and summer parade routes. We are thrilled that our building and yard can be used by the community during community events! To take advantage of all of the traffic during special events we set up a FREE HOT CHOCOLATE STAND during the Santa Clause Parade and a FREE LEMONADE STAND during the Canada Day Parade. Come and warm your belly or quench your thirst while you're here!!
